ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਰਵੇ

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਰਵੇ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਸੰਨ 2010 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਨੀ ਸ. ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਕੂਲ 1996 ਦੀ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ।  ਇਹ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ/ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ/ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।  ਇਹ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਰਵੇ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2024 ਦਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿੱਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ Unique Home orphanage for Girls  ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਬੀਬੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਘਨਈਆ ਜੀ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ 17 ਮਈ 1993 ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬੀਬੀ ਜੀ 60 ਬੱਚੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਨਾਲ਼  ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਲਿਖਾਈ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।  

ਇਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਰਵੇ ਵਲੋਂ '' ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਰਵੇ'' ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਆਰਥਕ ਮਦਦ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਰਵੇ, ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਸਭ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਭਚਿੰਤਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

The Bhai Ghanayya Ji Charitable Trust was established on May 17th 1993 running as ‘Unique Home’ which looks after unwanted, unclaimed or orphan children whom society shuns. The baby girls are found by road sides, dumped by running water, or even left during the night in the baby cradle outside the home. Unique Home with an aim “Moral, Social, Cultural and Economic uplift of orphan children without any distinction of Caste, Creed and Religion”. 

To raise these children as enlightened and self respecting citizens and restore them their due place in society is a very hard task that required a mass, social effort. We appeal to all kind hearted people to come forward with all possible means. The main spirit behind this institution is Bibi Prakaash Kaur, whose aim is to rehabilitate those people whom society has disowned. 

The current seva is being done by Bibi Prakash Kaur, who is life-time managing trustee of Bhai Ghanayya Ji Charitable Trust . Despite her old age, she is fully devoted to the service of the children. In a state infamous for female foeticide, Prakash Kaur is mother to 60 abandoned girls. She’s given them a life to look forward to; when their own parents wished them death.
Every girl here at the Unique Home in Jalandhar is getting a shot at good education and a secure future; all thanks to the woman they proudly call their mother.
